One can only imagine what must have gone through Walt's mind as he walked the empty paths of his park, Disneyland. An idea that sparked years before was now a larger than life immersive reality, at 5/8 scale. The interesting thing about dreams, at least in Walt Disney's case, is that they never really seem to satisfy. I don't mean this in a negative way at all, quite the contrary. It seems like every time Walt "achieved" his dream, it emboldened him to embrace hopes of a new, higher standard. From Laugh-O-Grams to Mickey Mouse to Snow White, from a Griffith Park bench and a peanut cart to Disneyland, Walt never quit plussing his ideas. A dream realized meant the birth of a new one.
